Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW)- On 4–5 April 2026, the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) urged the international community to step up support for refugees and internally displaced persons.
The agency warned that funding shortages are affecting shelter, food, and healthcare services for millions of displaced people worldwide. UNHCR emphasized the need for solidarity and long-term solutions to address the growing displacement crisis.
