UNODC Highlights Growing Threat of Organized Crime Networks

Vienna, Austria (HRNW)- On 11 May 2026, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) warned that organized criminal groups are increasingly exploiting global instability and technological advancements.

The agency noted rising concerns over cybercrime, human trafficking, narcotics smuggling, and financial crimes. UNODC urged countries to strengthen international coordination and modernize law enforcement capabilities to counter transnational crime effectively.
