UN Environment Programme Urges Immediate Climate Action

Nairobi, Kenya (HRNW)- On 11 May 2026, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) warned that climate-related disasters are becoming more frequent and severe across vulnerable regions.

UNEP officials stated that floods, droughts, and extreme heat are threatening livelihoods, food security, and access to water. The agency called on governments to accelerate climate adaptation measures and strengthen environmental protection policies.
