Karachi (HRNW) — The ongoing power crisis and severe load-shedding in Karachi and other parts of Sindh have prompted action in the Sindh Assembly, with the Speaker summoning the CEOs of K-Electric, SAPCO and HASCO to appear before the assembly on October 23.
According to the information provided, the heads of the power companies will be asked to explain the situation surrounding prolonged power outages and the electricity crisis affecting Karachi and other areas of Sindh.
PTI MPA Sajjad Ali Soomro said effective measures were needed to find a permanent solution to the electricity crisis. He added that an effective resolution would also be presented in the Sindh Assembly to address the issue on a long-term basis.
Prolonged power outages have reportedly caused difficulties for citizens, businesses, students and households, affecting routine activities and economic life.
