WHO Warns of Rising Mental Health Crisis Among Displaced Populations

Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW)- On 10 May 2026, the World Health Organization (WHO) expressed concern over increasing mental health challenges among refugees and displaced communities worldwide.

According to WHO experts, prolonged conflicts, displacement, and economic hardships are contributing to anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. The agency urged governments and humanitarian partners to prioritize mental health support in emergency response programs.
