Humanitarian Agencies Warn of Deepening South Sudan Crisis

Geneva (HRNW) — During a UN briefing in Geneva, humanitarian officials warned that the situation in South Sudan is becoming increasingly severe.

According to the World Food Programme, ongoing violence and displacement have forced thousands of people to flee their homes, while millions remain in need of urgent food assistance. Humanitarian workers also reported security challenges affecting aid delivery.

The UN urged international donors to increase support to prevent further deterioration of humanitarian conditions.
