New York, United States (HRNW)- On 30 May 2026, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres reiterated the need for major institutional reforms aimed at improving efficiency and reducing costs across the UN system.
Addressing Member States, Guterres stressed that the organization must adapt to growing global challenges while making better use of resources. He urged governments to support reform efforts to ensure the UN remains effective in promoting peace, development, and human rights worldwide.
