Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW)- On 17 June 2026, the World Health Organization (WHO) emphasized that community trust and local participation remain essential to successfully containing the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
WHO officials said rapid case detection, effective treatment, vaccination campaigns, and strong cooperation with local communities are critical to preventing further transmission of the disease.
