Tensions Rise in Baidoa as Thousands Flee Electoral Conflict

Baidoa, Somalia (HRNW) – UN OCHA reported on March 30 that over 45,000 people have fled Baidoa following a high risk of armed confrontation between federal and regional forces. The UN Deputy Special Representative has urged all parties to protect civilians and guarantee unimpeded humanitarian access as cases of acute watery diarrhea rise among the displaced population.
