Nairobi, Kenya (HRNW)- On 15 May 2026, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) warned that climate change and environmental degradation are intensifying global water shortages.
According to UNEP, millions of people in vulnerable regions are facing difficulties accessing clean drinking water due to droughts and environmental damage. The agency urged governments to adopt sustainable water management policies and strengthen climate resilience programs.
