Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW)- On 13–14 May 2026, the World Health Organization (WHO) condemned continued attacks on hospitals and healthcare workers in conflict zones.
WHO officials stated that medical facilities and staff must never become targets during armed conflicts, warning that such attacks endanger civilian lives and weaken already fragile healthcare systems. The agency called for full respect of international humanitarian law.
