Karachi to Get Major Travel Relief as Bhutto Highway Opens This Month, Says Sharjeel Memon

Karachi (HRNW)- Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has announced the completion of one major project and the launch of another, giving good news to the citizens of Karachi. During a press conference in Karachi, Sharjeel Memon said that the Bhutto Highway will be fully opened this month, allowing citizens direct travel access to the motorway and providing a major transportation facility for the city.

He further said that a major road project from Karachi Port to Taj Haider Bridge will also begin soon and its foundation stone will be laid shortly. Referring to the Red Line BRT project, he admitted that citizens faced difficulties due to delays, adding that the contractor was changed to speed up completion of the project and apologized for the inconvenience caused to the public.

Sharjeel Memon also discussed agreements signed during President Asif Ali Zardari’s recent visit to China, including MoUs related to clean drinking water, agriculture, and livestock projects. He stated that the Sindh government remains committed to eliminating drugs completely and said institutions should be encouraged after the recent arrest of a female drug dealer in Karachi.

He added that any complaints regarding the Public Service Commission should be submitted with evidence so action can be taken accordingly. He emphasized that the government would not ignore any proven irregularities.
