UN Warns of Worsening Health Crisis in Sudan Amid Ongoing Conflict

New York, United States (HRNW)- During the United Nations daily briefing on 29 April 2026, UN agencies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF raised alarm over the rapidly deteriorating health situation in Sudan.

According to UN officials, ongoing violence has severely disrupted healthcare services, leaving millions without access to essential medical care. The agencies highlighted rising disease outbreaks, shortages of medicines, and increasing risks to children and vulnerable populations.

The United Nations called for urgent humanitarian access and increased international support to prevent further loss of life.
