Israel to Transfer Detained Gaza Aid Flotilla Members to Greece Under New Arrangement

Tel Aviv (HRNW) – Israel has decided to transfer arrested members of the Global Solidarity Flotilla, which was carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, to Greece, a move that has drawn attention in diplomatic and human rights circles. According to Arab media reports, Israeli authorities had initially planned to send 175 detainees to Israel, but later reached an agreement with the Greek government to transfer them directly to Greece instead. The Israeli Foreign Ministry stated that the individuals will be disembarked on the Greek coast within the next few hours. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar strongly reacted to the interception of the flotilla in international waters and the detention of activists on board, terming it a violation of international law.
