UNICEF Warns That Climate Change Continues to Threaten Children’s Rights

Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW)- On 22 June 2026, UNICEF reiterated that climate change remains one of the greatest threats to children worldwide.

The agency highlighted that extreme heat, floods, droughts, and environmental degradation are placing millions of children at increased risk, affecting their health, nutrition, education, and overall well-being. UNICEF called for greater investment in child-focused climate adaptation policies.
