Vienna, Austria (HRNW)- On 5 April 2026, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) warned about increasing risks of human trafficking globally.
The agency noted that economic instability, migration pressures, and conflicts are making vulnerable populations more susceptible to exploitation. UNODC called for stronger law enforcement cooperation and victim protection mechanisms to combat trafficking networks.
