UNEP Calls for Immediate Action to Protect Global Biodiversity

Nairobi, Kenya (HRNW) On 22 May 2026, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) expressed serious concern over the rapid decline in global biodiversity.

UNEP warned that deforestation, pollution, and climate change are threatening thousands of species and damaging ecosystems worldwide. The agency called for urgent environmental reforms and stronger conservation policies to protect natural resources and wildlife.
