Karachi (HRNW) — August 24, 2026: Dairy farmers’ representative Shakir Umar Gujjar has said that the long-standing dream of establishing a safer Buffalo Colony has finally been realized, with 100 security cameras installed across the area and a Command and Control Room made operational.
Shakir Umar Gujjar thanked police officials and Murad Sohni, saying that the installation of the security system had helped address a long-standing security concern of dairy farmers.
According to Gujjar, the 100 cameras installed in Buffalo Colony are being monitored through an active Command and Control Room, which will assist authorities in monitoring the area and responding to suspicious activities.
He said that plans are also underway to install another 500 security cameras in the area. The business community is expected to begin installing the additional cameras next month.
He added that expanding the surveillance network would further strengthen security in Buffalo Colony and surrounding areas.
