WFP Welcomes Pakistan’s First Anticipatory Action Strategy

Islamabad, Pakistan (HRNW) – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has welcomed Pakistan’s first Anticipatory Action Strategy, describing it as an important step toward reducing the impact of climate-related disasters. The strategy aims to use forecasts and early financing to trigger assistance before hazards strike, helping protect vulnerable communities, livelihoods and critical assets from floods, droughts and other climate shocks.
