Geneva (HRNW) – On 7 July 2026, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) released its World Investment Report 2026, providing a comprehensive assessment of global foreign direct investment (FDI), sustainable investment, and economic development trends.
The report examines investment flows across developed and developing economies and outlines policy recommendations aimed at increasing investment in infrastructure, renewable energy, digital transformation, and sustainable industrial development.
UNCTAD emphasized that stronger international cooperation and improved investment policies will be essential to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals while addressing economic uncertainty and global financial challenges.
