Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW)-On 4 April 2026, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned of increasing outbreaks of infectious diseases in conflict-affected regions.
According to WHO, disruptions in healthcare systems, lack of clean water, and displacement are contributing to the rapid spread of diseases such as cholera and measles. The agency called for immediate international support to strengthen health systems and prevent large-scale humanitarian crises.
