AI for Good Global Summit 2026 Opens in Geneva Under ITU Leadership

Geneva (HRNW) – On 7 July 2026, the AI for Good Global Summit 2026, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with several United Nations agencies, officially opened in Geneva.

The Summit has brought together world leaders, policymakers, technology companies, researchers, UN agencies, academia, and civil society to explore how artificial intelligence can support healthcare, education, disaster management, climate action, agriculture, and sustainable development.

Participants are also discussing global AI governance, ethical standards, cybersecurity, and international cooperation to ensure that emerging technologies are developed and deployed responsibly for the benefit of humanity.

UN officials emphasized that artificial intelligence should remain human-centred, inclusive, transparent, and aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
