Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW)- On 21–22 May 2026, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and UNICEF expressed concern over the growing number of children forced into labor globally.
The agencies stated that poverty, conflicts, and lack of education are pushing millions of children into dangerous and exploitative working conditions. The United Nations urged governments to strengthen child protection systems and expand access to education.
