Three Girls’ Missing Report from Karachi Goes Viral on Social Media, Investigation Reveals Different Facts

Karachi (HRNW): A report circulating on social media for the past two to three days regarding the alleged disappearance of three young girls has been found to be false and misleading.

A distressing message along with a picture of three girls was widely shared on social media, claiming that three sisters had mysteriously gone missing from a house in Karachi.

However, according to verified local sources, the actual circumstances of the incident are different. Sources stated that the children’s mother allegedly left the house voluntarily and took all three daughters with her. It was further reported that she also took gold and silver jewelry, cash, and other belongings along with her.

Following the incident, the children’s father has registered a formal complaint at the relevant police station, and legal proceedings are underway.

Media professionals and social media users have been urged to share only verified and fact-based information. Spreading unconfirmed reports, exploiting public emotions in sensitive matters, or creating an impression that a serious crime has occurred without verification can create unnecessary fear and unrest in society.

Responsible journalism requires accuracy, caution, and balance, particularly in sensitive cases, to ensure that the public is not misled.
