Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW)- On 26 June 2026, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) urged governments to strengthen international cooperation to support the growing number of refugees and forcibly displaced people worldwide.
The agency stressed that refugees require not only protection and shelter but also access to education, healthcare, employment opportunities, and long-term solutions that enable them to rebuild their lives with dignity.
