Baku, Azerbaijan (HRNW)- On 6 June 2026, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) renewed its call for governments, businesses, and communities worldwide to accelerate efforts against climate change following the observance of World Environment Day 2026.
UN officials warned that rising global temperatures, extreme weather events, and environmental degradation continue to threaten livelihoods, ecosystems, and sustainable development. UNEP urged countries to strengthen climate adaptation measures and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
