Geneva (HRNW) – On 4 July 2026, the International Labour Organization (ILO) highlighted the importance of investing in decent work, vocational training, and workforce development to strengthen inclusive economic growth amid global economic uncertainty.
The Organization noted that governments, employers, and workers must work together to expand employment opportunities, improve workplace safety, and equip young people with skills required for rapidly changing labour markets.
ILO reaffirmed that decent work remains a cornerstone of sustainable development and called for stronger international cooperation to protect workers’ rights while promoting productivity and social justice.
