New York, United States (HRNW)- On 28 June 2026, the United Nations urged Member States to accelerate progress toward achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), warning that global conflicts, climate change, and economic instability continue to slow implementation.
UN officials emphasized that stronger international cooperation, increased development financing, and investments in education, healthcare, climate resilience, and poverty reduction are essential to meeting the SDGs on time.
Impact for Pakistan:
For Pakistan, accelerated implementation of the SDGs could strengthen poverty alleviation programmes, improve public health and education, enhance climate resilience against floods and droughts, and attract greater international development assistance.
