KARACHI (HRNW): On the occasion of World Health Day, observed on April 7, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has appealed to the public to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Health as a Pillar of Progress
The Chief Minister emphasized that a healthy nation is the ultimate guarantee of progress. He highlighted that the Sindh government is taking historic steps in the healthcare sector, ensuring that provincial government hospitals are equipped with modern facilities. He noted that some of Pakistan’s largest and most high-quality medical institutions are now located in Sindh.
Key Initiatives and Infrastructure
Syed Murad Ali Shah detailed several government achievements:

Free Healthcare: Provision of free medicines and treatment facilities across the province.

Maternal & Child Health: Expansion of programs dedicated to the health of mothers and children.

Specialized Care: The expansion of the SICVD (Cardiovascular) network and strengthening of the NICH (Child Health) intensive care units.

New Projects: Mention of the 1200-bed Cardiac Hospital in Korangi and the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical Complex currently under construction.
The Chief Minister concluded by urging citizens to focus on cleanliness, prevention, and a balanced diet. “Let us work together to build a healthy and prosperous Sindh,” he stated.
