GCC Condemns Alleged Iranian Attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait, Reaffirms Support for Member States

Riyadh (HRNW)- The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has strongly condemned Iran’s alleged attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait, describing them as a violation of the sovereignty of both countries, regional security, and international law.

In a statement, GCC Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al-Badawi said the reported attacks reflect what he described as Tehran’s policy of undermining regional and international efforts aimed at promoting peace, security, and a diplomatic resolution to ongoing tensions.

Al-Badawi stated that targeting Bahrain and Kuwait constitutes a direct attack on the sovereignty of both countries and threatens the safety of their citizens and residents. He further described the reported actions as a serious violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.

The GCC Secretary-General reaffirmed the council’s full solidarity with Bahrain and Kuwait, emphasizing that the GCC supports all measures taken by both countries to safeguard their security, stability, and territorial sovereignty.

He also stressed the importance of reducing tensions in the Gulf through dialogue, urging all parties to respect international law and pursue diplomatic solutions to resolve their differences.

The statement comes amid heightened security concerns in the Gulf region following rising tensions between Iran and the United States, with regional and international stakeholders closely monitoring developments.
