QUETTA / RAWALPINDI (HRNW) – Pakistan’s security forces have achieved a major breakthrough in the fight against terrorism, neutralizing a significant portion of the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) network during high-intensity operations across eight districts of the province. In a series of intelligence-based actions, 32 terrorists have been killed, 17 injured, and 11 apprehended alive.
Major Successes in Targeted Districts
The operations were concentrated in Panjgur, Kharan, Kalat, Mastung, Turbat, Washuk, and Quetta.
-
Elimination of Top Commander: In a high-value strike in Panjgur, the prominent BLA commander Nazir alias Chakar was killed alongside seven of his associates. Military analysts describe his death as a strategic failure for the BLA’s operational command.
-
Precision Drone Strikes: In the Kharan region, security forces utilized advanced technology to conduct laser-guided drone strikes on a militant vehicle, resulting in the immediate elimination of four terrorists.
Evidence of External Facilitation
Interrogations of the 11 captured militants have provided critical evidence of cross-border support. The detainees confessed to being trained and dispatched from launchpads located in the Kunar and Kandahar provinces of Afghanistan.
-
US-Origin Weaponry: During search operations in Washuk and Kalat, security forces intercepted trucks carrying a significant cache of US-made weapons—equipment left behind in Afghanistan—further confirming systematic external facilitation and logistical support for these insurgent groups.
State Resolve for Regional Stability
The Federal Interior Minister and military spokespersons have reaffirmed that any elements attempting to sabotage the development of Balochistan or the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be dealt with iron hands. This latest wave of casualties has reportedly pushed the BLA into a severe crisis regarding both its manpower and funding.
By demonstrating superior capabilities across land, air, and digital domains, the state has signaled its final decision to uproot the menace of terrorism and ensure that no foreign-backed proxy can weaken the sovereignty of Pakistan.
