Iran Warns Countries Assisting US Military Could Become ‘Legitimate Targets’

Tehran (HRNW)- The Iranian Armed Forces have issued a strong warning, stating that any country, military base, or location that facilitates US military operations against Iran would be considered a “legitimate target” by Iranian forces.

According to a statement issued by the Iranian military, any assistance provided to the United States in actions that violate Iran’s sovereignty or territorial integrity is unacceptable, and any location involved in such activities could be targeted.

The statement declared that “any kind of assistance provided to the aggressive US military in violating the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be considered a legitimate target by the Iranian armed forces.”

The warning comes amid renewed tensions between Iran and the United States, despite the existence of a memorandum of understanding intended to prevent further military escalation. Iranian officials maintain that recent US military operations violated the agreement, while Washington has accused Tehran of breaching the ceasefire terms.

According to defense analysts, Iran’s latest statement is being viewed as a warning to countries hosting US military forces and bases across the region. However, Iranian authorities did not specify which countries or military installations they believe fall within the scope of the warning.

Regional observers say that if the current tensions continue, the Middle East could face a further deterioration in its security environment, potentially undermining ongoing diplomatic efforts.

Meanwhile, Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency claimed that a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy was killed during an alleged clash with US drones near the southern Iranian port of Bandar Mahshahr.

Tasnim did not disclose the identity of the deceased or provide additional details about the reported incident. The claim has not been independently verified, and there has been no immediate official response from the United States.
