Trump Convenes Emergency White House Meeting Amid Critical Iran Negotiations

Washington (HRNW) – US President Donald Trump has summoned his National Security Team to the White House for an emergency meeting amid sensitive negotiations with Iran and rapidly changing developments in the Middle East.

According to US media reports, Vice President JD Vance also arrived unexpectedly in Washington DC, with his convoy seen heading directly toward the White House.

Reports say the meeting is focusing on several key issues, including a possible agreement with Iran, a regional ceasefire, Israel’s security situation, and tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz.

US sources stated that President Trump is reviewing future strategy with his senior national security officials, Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff, former adviser Jared Kushner, and other top officials.

According to American media outlets, President Trump is also expected to hold an important conference call with regional leaders from Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Jordan, and Egypt.

The discussions are expected to cover the proposed US-Iran agreement, ceasefire efforts, and broader regional de-escalation.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has already indicated that positive progress is being made in negotiations with Iran and suggested that an agreement could be reached soon.

Meanwhile, an American newspaper claimed that a draft agreement between Washington and Tehran may be finalized within the next 24 hours.

According to reports, the proposed agreement includes provisions related to keeping the Strait of Hormuz open, restoring certain Iranian assets, implementing a ceasefire, and continuing future negotiations.

However, US officials maintain that any final deal will depend on progress regarding American demands over Iran’s nuclear program and regional activities.

Iran has also signaled willingness to continue negotiations aimed at ending conflict and reducing regional tensions, although Tehran has clarified that immediate discussions about the details of its nuclear program are not currently its top priority.

With diplomatic activity intensifying, global attention is now focused on the possibility of a major breakthrough between the United States and Iran.
