Anti-Terrorism Court Rejects Suspension of Sentences for Ejaz Chaudhry and Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed

LAHORE (HRNW): The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has issued a significant ruling regarding the May 9 incidents. The court rejected the applications filed by Ejaz Chaudhry seeking the suspension of his sentences in four different cases related to the events of May 9.

Similarly, the court dismissed a plea for the suspension of sentence filed by Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed in a case related to May 9. According to judicial records, the accused are facing charges including rioting at Sherpao Bridge, arson, and other serious allegations.

The Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore had previously sentenced both individuals to 10 years of imprisonment in these cases. The court ruled that there were no solid grounds provided in the applications for the suspension of the sentences and, therefore, rejected them. Following this judicial decision, the sentences of the accused remain in effect.
