KARACHI (HRNW): The Sindh government has officially set June 30, 2026, as the final deadline for the complete digitization of transport documentation across the province. In a decisive move to modernize the provincial transport infrastructure, Senior Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, announced that all manual route permits and vehicle fitness certificates will be declared invalid after this date.
Key Directives for Transporters

Mandatory Digitalization: All commercial vehicle owners, including those operating buses, vans, and goods carriers, must transition their manual records to the new automated system.
Verification and Security: The shift aims to provide secure, verifiable, and online-accessible documents to eliminate fraud and systemic shortcomings.

Operational Requirements: Field offices have been instructed to facilitate stakeholders by processing at least 1,000 entries daily to ensure the transition is completed before the deadline.

Invalidation of Manual Papers: After the June 30 deadline, manual documents will no longer be accepted for legal compliance.
Enforcement and Penalties
Authorities have warned that strict legal action will be taken against non-compliant vehicles. Vehicles operating without digital permits or fitness certificates after the deadline will be considered non-compliant and subject to penalties, including fines and potential impoundment. Citizens and transporters are urged to begin the registration process immediately at relevant transport offices or through the official digital portal to avoid last-minute bottlenecks.
