President Sisi Says Egypt Will Not Restore Relations with Israel Without a Just Peace

Cairo (HRNW)- Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has said that relations with Israel will not be fully restored until a just and comprehensive peace is achieved that ends the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories and ensures the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

According to media reports, President Sisi made the remarks during the inauguration ceremony of the State Strategic Command headquarters in Cairo.

The Egyptian president stated that there can be no lasting peace, real stability, or restoration of relations with Israel until a just peace is established that ends the occupation, stops the aggression, restores the rights of the Palestinian people, and guarantees security for all.

He added that achieving a just peace would provide the people of the region with an opportunity to live in stability, security, and prosperity.

President Sisi also renewed Egypt’s call for a ceasefire in Gaza, noting that despite a ceasefire that came into effect in October 2025, Israeli military operations have continued.

He further said that Egypt also supported the recent framework agreement aimed at ending tensions between Iran and the United States, stressing the importance of diplomacy and regional stability.
