Kites From Gaza Trigger Israeli Security Alert Near Nahal Oz

Gaza (HRNW)- Four kites flown from Gaza landed near the Israeli border area of Nahal Oz, prompting concern and a security response from the Israeli army.

According to Israeli media, the kites were taken for inspection amid fears they could potentially be used for surveillance or terrorist purposes. After examining them, the army confirmed that no suspicious materials or objects were found and that the kites posed no danger to the public.

The incident recalled 2018, when Palestinian protesters sent kites and balloons carrying flammable materials toward Israeli border areas, causing fires but no reported casualties. The incidents subsequently led Israeli security forces to increase monitoring along the border.
