Iranian Security Official Warns US Actions Could Fuel Global Nuclear Proliferation

Tehran (HRNW)- Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei has strongly criticized US President Donald Trump’s military actions and policies toward Iran, warning that they could increase the desire among countries to acquire nuclear weapons.

According to media reports, Rezaei said the attack on Iran could lead some countries to conclude that states without nuclear capabilities are more vulnerable to external military threats. He argued that even Iran’s participation in the global nuclear non-proliferation regime did not protect it from a US attack.

Rezaei said Trump’s policies have created “nuclear insecurity” rather than nuclear security and warned that the current situation could contribute to the further spread of nuclear weapons worldwide.
