KARACHI (HRNW): A high-alert heatwave warning has been issued for Karachi, with temperatures expected to reach an extreme peak of 55°C. Civil Defense has placed the city on high alert from April 29 to May 12, specifically identifying the hours between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM as the most critical daily period. According to the Meteorological Department, the intensifying heat poses significant risks, prompting authorities to advise citizens to avoid unnecessary outdoor movement and ensure high water intake. Furthermore, residents have been strictly warned against keeping flammable materials inside their vehicles to prevent fire incidents during this period of intense heat.
