ISLAMABAD (HRNW): Former minister Mohammad Zubair has announced the release of a comprehensive “White Paper” detailing the economic decline across ten key sectors under the current administration. Addressing a press briefing, Zubair criticized the government’s tendency to reference the past 70 years, specifically calling out Ali Pervaiz’s recent statements as an admission of failure after four years in power. He highlighted a staggering increase in the national debt, noting that when the PTI government ended in April 2022, the total debt stood at 44 trillion rupees, whereas it has now surged to 81 trillion rupees. Zubair pointed out that while the debt increased by 19 trillion rupees during PTI’s four-year tenure, the current government has overseen a massive spike of 37 trillion rupees in the same duration.
