Karachi (HRNW)- The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered drugs worth approximately Rs6.5 million during operations carried out in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Jhang, and Multan as part of its nationwide crackdown against drug trafficking.
According to the ANF spokesperson, acting on a tip-off, officials conducted an operation at a courier office in Federal B Area, Karachi, where 4 kilograms of crystal meth (ice) concealed inside children’s clothing in a parcel destined for Bahrain were recovered.
In another operation at a courier office in Saddar, Karachi, ANF recovered 6.350 kilograms of crystal meth (ice) hidden inside men’s clothing in a parcel also being sent to Bahrain.
The spokesperson further said that during operations in Lahore, 4.8 kilograms of hashish were recovered from suspects traveling in a rickshaw near Canal Road. In a separate raid near McLeod Road Mosque, officials seized 3.6 kilograms of hashish and 2.4 kilograms of opium from a woman.
In Peshawar, 5 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a suspect near Customs Chowk. In District Jhang, ANF seized 5 kilograms of crystal meth (ice) from a vehicle near Bakhar Road, while 14.400 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle near Sher Shah Toll Plaza, Multan.
According to the spokesperson, cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and investigations into the incidents are underway.
