ISLAMABAD (HRNW): The Supreme Court of Pakistan has officially allotted a case number to the appeal filed by Advocate Iman Mazari against her sentencing related to controversial tweets. The court has issued case number 675/2026 for her appeal.
According to sources, Iman Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha have approached the Supreme Court seeking a suspension of their sentences. A case number had already been allotted to Hadi Ali Chattha’s application prior to this. With both appeals now documented, it is anticipated that the applications will soon be scheduled for a hearing.
Legal experts view the allotment of the case number as a significant development, paving the way for a formal hearing in the Supreme Court regarding the request for the suspension of the sentences.
