Maryam Nawaz Takes Notice of Rising Crime, Orders Strict Action in Punjab

Lahore (HRNW)- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has taken strict notice of the increase in crime rate in the province and called a high-level meeting. During the meeting, the Chief Minister reprimanded the concerned officers for not effectively controlling crime in Sheikhupura and Faisalabad.
She directed the RPOs and DPOs to fully cooperate with the CCD (Counter Crime Department) to ensure prevention of crime.
Maryam Nawaz said that the increase in crime rate is regrettable and worrying, while the goal of making Punjab crime-free despite the Safe City project has to be achieved. She clarified that there is no room for any laziness or negligence now, the police has been cleared of all kinds of interference and now they have to show performance.
