Islamabad (HRNW)- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed steps to accelerate the promotion of electric vehicles in the country. A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the promotion of electric vehicles in the country, in which a briefing was given on the ongoing measures for the nationwide promotion of electric vehicles.
The meeting was informed that 72 manufacturing certificates have been issued for the manufacture of electric motorcycles and rickshaws and 4 for electric vehicles, 123 applications have been received so far for the establishment of EV charging stations, and it is being planned to make 30 percent of vehicles in the country run on electricity in the next 5 years. The Prime Minister directed that steps be taken to accelerate the promotion of electric vehicles in the country.
