Sindh Government Finalizes Local Government Development Schemes for Next Budget

Karachi (HRNW)- An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Nasir Hussain Shah in which local government schemes for the upcoming financial year budget were finalized.

During the meeting, detailed consultations were held on public welfare projects and new development schemes across the province. The meeting was attended by the Secretary Local Government, MD Solid Waste Management Board, MD KDA, and other senior officials.

Key decisions were taken to further improve the sanitation system in Sindh, while instructions were issued to expand the Solid Waste Management Board’s operations to additional districts. Khairpur and Sanghar were directed to be included in the network on a priority basis.

Director Master Plan Ahmed Solangi briefed the participants on ongoing local government projects. It was agreed that priority would be given to schemes directly benefiting the public, and only effective projects addressing basic civic issues would be included in the budget.

The minister directed officials to expedite development work and stated that the local government system will be made more functional across all districts of Sindh. Officials indicated that a substantial budget allocation is expected for public welfare schemes in the upcoming financial year.
