District City Police Raid Gutka/Mawa Factory: Three Arrested with Large Stock of Contraband

Karachi (HRNW): In a major operation against the manufacturing of hazardous substances, District City Police raided a Gutka and Mawa factory in the Garden area, arresting three suspects. According to the spokesperson for District City Police, the intelligence-based raid targeted a facility where harmful substances were being prepared for supply across various parts of the city.

During the raid, police seized a significant quantity of raw materials and processing equipment, including 190 kg of betel nut (chalia), 52 kg of prepared Gutka, 12 packets of tobacco, a grinding machine, and a digital weighing scale. The arrested individuals have been identified as Muhammad Uzair, Muhammad Jahangir, and Muzammil.

The police have taken the recovered items into custody and registered a case against the suspects at the Garden Police Station. Further investigation is underway to dismantle the supply network associated with this illegal factory.
