Rangers’ Major Operation: Leader of ‘Emo Gang’ and Two Accomplices Arrested in Karachi

Karachi (HRNW): Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), acting on intelligence reports, conducted a successful operation in the Mujahid Colony area of Nazimabad, Karachi, arresting three key members of the notorious “Emo Gang” involved in numerous robberies and street crimes. The arrested suspects have been identified as the gang leader, Muhammad Junaid (son of Muhammad Usman), Muhammad Shahab (son of Hameed-ur-Rehman), and Waqas Ahmed alias Ghungroo (son of Muhammad Khan).

According to the Rangers spokesperson, two unlicensed .30 bore pistols with ammunition, mobile phones, and cash were recovered from their possession. Investigations revealed that the gang was involved in several incidents of robbery, street crime, drug peddling, aerial firing, and motorcycle/mobile phone snatching in Nazimabad and surrounding areas. The suspect Shahab confessed to his involvement in drug trafficking in Waheed Colony, while Waqas disclosed that he used his scrap shop to provide shelter and narcotics to gang members to evade arrest.

Multiple FIRs are registered against the suspects in various police stations across the city. Operations are ongoing to arrest their remaining accomplices. The arrested individuals, along with the recovered weapons and items, have been handed over to the police for further legal proceedings.
