“We Will Not Engage in Forced Negotiations”: President Masoud Pezeshkian

TEHRAN (HRNW): Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has made it clear that Iran will not participate in any form of forced negotiations, noting that past dialogues with the United States only served to increase mutual distrust.

According to an official statement from the Iranian government, President Pezeshkian expressed these views during a telephonic conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He emphasized that the diplomatic process cannot move forward under a climate of threats, pressure, and blockades.

Restoration of Trust and Conditions:

The Iranian President stated that the restoration of trust is impossible as long as aggressive actions against Iran continue. He asserted that if the United States is serious about resuming negotiations, it must first remove all existing obstacles and immediately end the naval blockade imposed on Iran.

President Pezeshkian’s remarks are being seen as a significant stance amid regional tensions and Iran’s ongoing diplomatic relations with global powers.
