Southern Lebanon (HRNW)- The Israeli army has launched attacks on Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon following orders from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to the International News Agency. Military sources stated that the strikes are being carried out against what they described as Hezbollah offices, positions, and shelters in the region.
An Israeli army spokesperson said the operations are in line with Netanyahu’s directive and are aimed at removing threats to Israeli soldiers and civilians. The spokesperson further claimed that these locations had previously been used by Hezbollah to carry out attacks, resulting in casualties and damage.
The strikes come shortly after the U.S. president announced a three-week extension of the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon earlier this week, raising fresh concerns about the stability of the truce.
