Six Killed, Two Injured in Israeli Strikes Despite Ceasefire Agreement

Southern Lebanon (HRNW)- At least six people have been killed and two others injured in recent Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon, according to media reports. The Lebanese Ministry of Health stated that despite an existing ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, Israeli forces carried out attacks in the region resulting in casualties.

The Israeli military, however, claimed that it targeted locations allegedly being used by Hezbollah. It further stated that its forces in southern Lebanon were also targeted by multiple explosive drones, though no detailed information regarding casualties or damage was provided.

These developments come at a time when a three-week extension of the ceasefire was reportedly announced on Thursday night, raising further concerns over the stability of the truce.
